We like to pretend we’re soooooo intellectual. In choosing a mate, we opt for high value criteria like literary knowledge or political astuteness, right?

Wrong.

According to an article in Cracked, we unconsciously care far more about seemingly meaningless things; things that bring us down a peg far closer to wild animals than some of us would care to admit.

Now Cracked, admittedly, isn’t our normal go-to for hard science reports, but this downright hilarious piece cites some pretty impressive lab study to backup its claims.
