For this recipe we’re going to use the acai which is a berry that grows on palm trees in Brazil. It’s packed with antioxidants and known for its disease-fighting phytonutrients. Its robust flavor can be described as a tantalizing blending of red wine and chocolate!

Here’s what you’ll need:
- ½ cup of fresh pomegranate arils
- 100 grams of frozen acai berry puree or powder
- ½ cup of blueberries
- 1 banana, peeled
- 8 ounces of unsweetened almond milk
Pomegranate juice is suitable here, but for the best results use the arils. They aren’t pasteurized, and their freshness will increase the antioxidants’ potency.

How to Make an Acai Antioxidant Blast Acai Berry Smoothie
First, add a liquid to a blender, such as a Vitamax Classic, then add the soft fruit.
Remove the seeds from the pomegranate by cutting it in half. Then, use a metal spoon to firmly smack the peel while you hold each half over your blender.
Blend on high for 30 seconds.
You can turn this into a green smoothie by adding fresh baby spinach or romaine lettuce or Vitamineral Greens. Don’t use a strong, bitter green like kale because that will negatively impact the flavor of this recipe.
