When my recent LUCY order was late, I started looking for something to chew while I waited. That says more about my relationship with this gum than a tidy list of product claims. I buy it, I use it every day, and I notice when it is missing from my routine.
My LUCY Espresso gum review comes from that experience. I have bought through the wholesale program since 2025, with 2 mg Espresso my favorite and 4 mg Cinnamon my second choice. An affiliate relationship came later. The question for a review is practical: what makes this a product I reorder, and what should you know before spending money on it?
Espresso First, Cinnamon Second: Check the Strength Too
Espresso is the coffee-flavored option I keep buying. Cinnamon is my second favorite, so those are the two I selected for Maryam’s Picks. I am interested in whether a flavor earns a place in my everyday routine, beyond whether the name sounds good on a wrapper.
| My pick | Nicotine per piece | Why it is in my selection |
|---|---|---|
| Espresso | 2 mg | My first-choice flavor and the lower strength of the pair. |
| Cinnamon | 4 mg | My second favorite, with twice the nicotine per piece. |
That strength difference matters when comparing the two. A preference for one flavor can get tangled up with a preference for a different nicotine level. Check the flavor and the milligrams together. LUCY’s current catalog lists multiple strengths; its ingredient FAQ still describes Espresso as a 6 mg-only product, even though the live catalog includes the 2 mg version I favor.
What Am I Actually Chewing?
LUCY describes its gum as soft and chewy, made in America, and formulated with pharmaceutical-grade nicotine. Its current product page also highlights xylitol. Those features help explain the positioning, but as a functional medicine coach I still want to look past the front of the pack.
The company’s ingredient FAQ lists gum base, nicotine resinate, sweeteners, flavors, and processing ingredients. It also lists talc and titanium dioxide, and says its Cinnamon gum contains sucralose and Red Dye #40. The FAQ has catalog discrepancies, so I would confirm the formulation on the actual sleeve rather than assume every line applies to every current batch.
There is a useful distinction here: tobacco-leaf-free describes the absence of tobacco leaf. The FAQ says the nicotine is purified from tobacco. It does not make the finished gum an organic product or a gum made entirely from natural ingredients. I can enjoy Espresso and still want a clearer, flavor-specific ingredient list from the company.
A Small Detail From the Founder’s Reddit AMA
In his January 2022 Reddit AMA, LUCY co-founder John Coogan explained that the name plays on “loosie,” the slang term for a single cigarette. More revealing were the customer questions about sweeteners. Asked about switching to stevia, he said the company had tested it but ran into problems with the overall customer experience. That exchange gets to a real formulation question: how does a brand balance the taste people want with the ingredients they would prefer?
What Reddit Adds to a LUCY Gum Review
One detail I had not considered came from a 2024 discussion about ordering LUCY gum. The poster liked the idea of ten-piece blister sleeves because a loose box of another brand rattled at work. A respondent said they liked LUCY’s 2 mg Berry Citrus and Mango flavors. Packaging and a flavor you enjoy can matter when you are actually carrying a product around every day.
In a different gum-specific thread, a user described better focus while writing code, then increasing their use as work got more demanding. In another discussion, someone felt calmer without better focus, while others reported digestive discomfort or preferred pouches. Those are individual experiences; they do not promise the same result for the next person.
I also found plenty of enthusiastic Espresso comments about LUCY’s Breakers pouches. Those belong to a different product. It is easy to search the brand, see a glowing coffee-flavor review, and miss that the person is not discussing gum at all. For this review, I kept the gum accounts separate.
The Reorder Test Includes Delivery
A product you use daily also has to arrive when you expect it. My October 4 wholesale order was delayed. LUCY explained that some orders had fallen through the cracks during an order-management transition, and the company later issued a refund for the $15 shipping charge. I received a delivery notification on October 13.
I appreciated the explanation and the refund. I also missed having the gum while I waited. That is part of reviewing a daily-use product: flavor matters, but so do dependable stock, fulfillment, and getting a response when something goes wrong. A good first impression has to survive the next order.
Is LUCY Worth the Price?
For me, Espresso has passed the repeat-purchase test. That does not make every pack size equally sensible. Someone trying a flavor and someone stocking a daily supply are making different buying decisions.
| Purchase | Pieces | Price before shipping and tax |
|---|---|---|
| ST single sleeve: Espresso or Cinnamon | 10 | $9.99 |
| ST two-sleeve pair | 20 | $16.99 |
| ST five-sleeve bundle | 50 | $39.99 |
| LUCY affiliate variety box: Berry Citrus, Mango, Mint, 4 mg | 90 | $39.90 once; $35.91 with a subscription |
| LUCY direct Espresso 2 mg box | 100 | $39.90 once; $35.91 with a subscription |
A full Espresso box works out to $3.99 per sleeve before shipping; buying a single through my store costs more per piece but requires a much smaller purchase. The two-sleeve offer is a middle ground: $16.99 to try two sleeves, including one of each flavor. For regular bulk buying, compare the full-box price with the smaller options. The five-sleeve bundle in my shop contains half as many pieces as LUCY’s Espresso box at almost the same total price.
My Verdict: A Favorite I Still Ask Questions About
I keep choosing Espresso, and Cinnamon remains my second pick. My endorsement comes from repeated purchases and daily use. I also want clear ingredient information, reliable delivery, and a buying option that makes sense for the amount someone wants. Those questions are part of being a customer, even when I like the product enough to sell it.

Try Espresso, Cinnamon, or One of Each
If you already use nicotine and want to try my picks, choose a single sleeve or a two-sleeve pair. Each pair contains 20 pieces and costs $16.99, saving $2.99 compared with two singles.
The pair saving applies automatically, once per order, and cannot be combined with other discounts. Shipping and tax are additional. Orders through Simply Transformative have a stated processing window of up to five business days before shipment.
For the Berry Citrus, Mango, and Mint variety box, use my LUCY affiliate link. LUCY fulfills those orders; that box contains different flavors from my Espresso and Cinnamon selection.
Disclosure: I buy and use LUCY gum, sell selected products through Simply Transformative, and may earn a commission through my affiliate link. Nicotine is addictive. These products are for adults 21 and older. LUCY’s consumer Espresso gum is not an FDA-approved smoking-cessation aid.
