When my latest LUCY order was late, I found myself looking for something to chew while I waited, which is probably a more honest endorsement than anything I could come up with while holding a fresh pack for the camera. I use this gum every day. Espresso is my first choice, Cinnamon is my second, and an empty supply made it very clear how firmly both had worked their way into my routine.
I bought LUCY before I had an affiliate link. I have ordered through its wholesale program since 2025, and the flavors I sell through Simply Transformative are the ones I actually reach for: 2 mg Espresso and 4 mg Cinnamon. The relationship grew out of being a customer, with all the preferences, questions, and occasional impatience that come with that.
So this LUCY Espresso gum review starts with the daily chew. What keeps a little orange pack on my shopping list? What else is in the gum? And does trying a sleeve make more sense than committing to a whole box? I went back through the product information and Reddit discussions with those questions in mind.
Espresso Has My Attention. Cinnamon Has a Place Too.
Coffee-flavored nicotine gum is an unusual pairing, and Espresso has become the flavor I keep choosing. There is something satisfying about knowing exactly which version of an everyday product you want. Mine is the 2 mg Espresso; Cinnamon, at 4 mg, is the other flavor I keep buying. Those preferences are how Maryam’s Picks came together.
The milligrams deserve as much attention as the flavor name. My Cinnamon pick contains twice the nicotine per piece, so these two sleeves offer different strengths as well as different flavors. Someone choosing between them should see both details before adding anything to a cart.
| My pick | Nicotine per piece | Where it sits in my routine |
|---|---|---|
| Espresso | 2 mg | My favorite and the flavor I keep coming back to. |
| Cinnamon | 4 mg | My second choice, at twice the nicotine per piece. |
Even finding that information takes a little care. LUCY’s live catalog includes the 2 mg Espresso I favor, while its ingredient FAQ still describes Espresso as a 6 mg-only product. For a brand selling something people put in their mouths every day, those pages should agree.
I Like the Gum. I Still Read the Ingredients.
Being a fan does not switch off the functional medicine coach in me. LUCY describes its gum as soft and chewy, made in America, and formulated with pharmaceutical-grade nicotine; the current product page also highlights xylitol. I want the same clarity about everything that comes along with it.
The company’s ingredient FAQ lists gum base, nicotine resinate, sweeteners, flavors, and processing ingredients, including talc and titanium dioxide. It says Cinnamon contains sucralose and Red Dye #40. Because that FAQ also has catalog discrepancies, the actual sleeve is where I would confirm the formulation of a particular batch.
The FAQ explains that LUCY’s nicotine is purified from tobacco. “Tobacco-leaf-free” describes the absence of the leaf; it does not make the finished gum an organic product or one made entirely from natural ingredients. I can keep choosing Espresso and still ask LUCY for a current, flavor-specific ingredient list that is easy to find and matches the pack.
A “Loosie,” a Sweetener Question, and a Founder on Reddit
In his January 2022 Reddit AMA, LUCY co-founder John Coogan explained that the name plays on “loosie,” the slang term for a single cigarette. The brand name had a wink built into it. The customers, meanwhile, had ingredient questions.
Asked about using stevia, Coogan said the company had tested it but encountered problems with the overall customer experience. That was a useful glimpse into the decisions behind the flavor: people want gum they enjoy chewing, and some also want a different sweetener list. I would like to hear more about how those choices are made, particularly for the flavors I use every day.
Reddit Gets Into the Details a Product Page Misses
A 2024 discussion about ordering LUCY gum offered a detail I had not considered: the poster liked the idea of ten-piece blister sleeves because a loose box of another brand rattled at work. A respondent liked LUCY’s 2 mg Berry Citrus and Mango. These are the small, ordinary considerations that can turn a purchase into something someone keeps carrying around: the packaging, the strength, and a flavor they actually want.
In a gum-specific focus discussion, a LUCY user described better concentration while writing code, then chewing more as work grew more demanding. The benefit and the question about increasing use arrived in the same account. In another thread, someone felt calmer without better focus, while others reported digestive discomfort or preferred pouches. A review becomes more useful when there is room for those different experiences.
Searching “LUCY Espresso” also brought up enthusiastic comments about Breakers pouches. It is an easy mix-up: the same brand and a coffee flavor, but a different product. Before borrowing anyone’s glowing review, I wanted to know what they were actually chewing—or putting under their lip.
The Part Where I Ran Out
My October 4 wholesale order was delayed. While I waited and looked for something else to chew, the question of whether I liked this gum had already answered itself. The question I needed LUCY to answer was where my order had gone.
The company explained that some orders had fallen through the cracks during an order-management transition, then issued a refund for the $15 shipping charge. I received a delivery notification on October 13. I appreciated getting an explanation and having the shipping charge refunded; I also wanted the gum.
That is the less glamorous side of a daily favorite. A flavor can win you over, but stock, delivery, and a useful response when something goes wrong determine how easy it is to stay a customer. Nicotine is addictive, and my awareness of the missing gum belongs in an honest account of the habit too.
Is LUCY Worth the Price?
For me, Espresso has passed the repeat-purchase test. That does not make every pack size equally sensible. Someone trying a flavor and someone stocking a daily supply are making different buying decisions.
| Purchase | Pieces | Price before shipping and tax |
|---|---|---|
| ST single sleeve: Espresso or Cinnamon | 10 | $9.99 |
| ST two-sleeve pair | 20 | $16.99 |
| ST five-sleeve bundle | 50 | $39.99 |
| LUCY affiliate variety box: Berry Citrus, Mango, Mint, 4 mg | 90 | $39.90 once; $35.91 with a subscription |
| LUCY direct Espresso 2 mg box | 100 | $39.90 once; $35.91 with a subscription |
A full Espresso box works out to $3.99 per sleeve before shipping; buying a single through my store costs more per piece but requires a much smaller purchase. The two-sleeve offer is a middle ground: $16.99 to try two sleeves, including one of each flavor. For regular bulk buying, compare the full-box price with the smaller options. The five-sleeve bundle in my shop contains half as many pieces as LUCY’s Espresso box at almost the same total price.
The Gum I Keep Chewing
Espresso has earned its place through repeated purchases and daily use, with Cinnamon close behind. When I recommend them, I am speaking as someone who has paid for the gum, waited for it, missed it, and ordered again. That is the experience behind the recommendation.
It also leaves me with very ordinary customer demands: tell me exactly what is in each flavor, keep the product information current, and get the order to me. Liking a product enough to sell it makes those questions more pressing, because someone else may be spending money on the strength of my experience.
My wider investigation into nicotine, COVID observations, NAD, and David Sinclair’s NMN venture is in “Nicotine, Intuition, and the Rona Years.” Here, the recommendation comes down to the gum I keep chewing and the practical details I would want to know before buying it myself.
Try Espresso, Cinnamon, or One of Each
If you already use nicotine and want to try my picks, choose a single sleeve or a two-sleeve pair. Each pair contains 20 pieces and costs $16.99, saving $2.99 compared with two singles.
The pair saving applies automatically, once per order, and cannot be combined with other discounts. Shipping and tax are additional. Orders through Simply Transformative have a stated processing window of up to five business days before shipment.
For the Berry Citrus, Mango, and Mint variety box, use my LUCY affiliate link. LUCY fulfills those orders; that box contains different flavors from my Espresso and Cinnamon selection.
Disclosure: I buy and use LUCY gum, sell selected products through Simply Transformative, and may earn a commission through my affiliate link. Nicotine is addictive. These products are for adults 21 and older. LUCY’s consumer Espresso gum is not an FDA-approved smoking-cessation aid.
