Who knew activated oxygen could do so much?

It may not come as a surprise that the best kept rejuvenation method for your skin isn’t a $100 per jar “patented miracle” by a cosmetics giant.

Activated oxygen — also known as ozone — is produced by adding an electrical charge to pure oxygen. Ozone contains three oxygen atoms rather than the two we usually breathe (O2 + O1= O3). In nature, ozone is created when oxygen comes in contact with ultraviolet rays emitted from the sun.

The term “ozone” has gotten a bad rap because when ozone levels rise in our environment, we’re likely to get sick. But ozone is not the problem. It’s the pollutants that get caught in the ozone that make us ill.

Ozone itself is actually nature’s way of cleansing. It works like this: Since ozone is heavier than oxygen, it “falls” through the air. As it does, it attaches to pollutants and cleans the air we breathe. That third atom is like a scavenger, destroying pollutants, bacteria, viruses, odors, and free radicals. Unfortunately, this powerful third atom lasts only about 20 minutes before it perishes, leaving behind pure oxygen. But while it lasts, ozone’s extra atom is a natural powerhouse of healing.

Activated oxygen is used in operating rooms, swimming pools, and municipal water systems. Some alternative practitioners even fight infection with intravenous ozone — discretely, of course, since the treatment is not FDA-approved. Meanwhile, the process of bubbling ozone through plant and vegetable oils dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. People with lung infections and other respiratory disorders would inhale the fumes from the ozonated oils as part of their treatment.

Although few studies have been conducted in the United States, ozonated plant and vegetable extracts have been extensively researched in other countries. For example, in Cuba and Russia, scientists have been publishing original research on the effects of ozonated sunflower and  for more than 40 years. This research has shown that ozonated oils offer good antimicrobial activity, resulting in no harm to the patient or operator. In Santiago, Chile, researchers have shown ozonated sunflower oil is an effective antifungal and safe alternative to ringworm topical treatment.

International studies also show that ozonated oils don’t lead to the problem of micro-biological resistance — as do antibiotics. In other words, you’re better off treating your acne or other skin problems with ozonated oils rather than with antibiotic creams. And systemic antibiotics are even worse because they’ll likely cause resistance while whittling away at your and immune system.

Studies have also shown ozonated oils play a definitive role in the treatment of burn subjects and serve as a successful remedy against vulvovaginitis. One study showed a success rate of 95 percent. (And we did our own study, as well: Someone at our hive tried intravenous ozone treatment up their yoni to fight an infection. And it worked.)

Ozonated oils are a powerful natural remedy for a variety of health concerns, especially for your skin. They effectively moisturize the skin and improve the appearance of blemishes, age spots, fine lines, and wrinkles.

They also work successfully to:

• Fight infections (bacterial, viral, and fungal infections including gingivitis, athletes foot, and herpes)

• Soothe skin conditions (eczema)

• Heal wounds (insect bites and stings, cuts, burns, leg ulcers, bed sores)

“Ozonated oils” have been used in European skin care for decades. You could say it’s one of the continent’s best kept beauty secrets. Until now.

Ozonated Oils, Made With Precision

Editor’s note, August 2026: HoneyColony’s current manufacturing partner for NO3URISH is OZONAIDE.

OZONAIDE slowly infuses certified organic, non-GMO oils with ozone produced from 99.993% ultra-high-purity oxygen. Its controlled cold-plasma process fully ozonates the oils until they develop a thick gel or cream texture that is easy to apply to the skin. The process captures the benefits of activated oxygen without fillers, fragrances, solvents, preservatives, or stabilizers.

And in case you are wondering — organic oils like castor oil, jojoba, and hemp do not clog pores. In fact, oils containing omega-3, -6, and -9 essential fatty acids have a positive effect on the epidermis, while slowing down trans-epidermal water loss.

At first we were skeptical, but after only a week, the  made our faces glow. And some of us haven’t suffered from menstrual-related breakout for weeks. The oils seem to just breathe new life right into skin’s cells.

We got so much positive feedback from these products that we decided to take ozone and jojob and add the power of bee medicine to each jar.  includes jojoba, ozone,  and (check out the new  as well). It’s saturated with so much oxygen and ozone, that when you open the lid, it smells like a lightning bolt just struck!

According to studies, ozonated oils support skin health in several powerful ways, including their ability to:

• Normalize the blood bactericidal activity

• Increase the level of lysozyme and phagocytic activity

Boost the production of antibodies

As researchers and users have observed, ozonated oils promote rapid cell renewal and skin protection. And in our polluted toxic world that means prevention of unnecessary aging. It’s no wonder NO3URISH users rave about the natural glow that develops within minutes from using the cream.

Activated Oxygen Quality Control

OZONAIDE starts with certified organic, non-GMO oils and 99.993% ultra-high-purity oxygen. Its cold-plasma infusion process creates ozone without excessive heat and fully ozonates the oil while protecting the integrity of the base oil.

According to OZONAIDE, every batch is verified using FTIR spectroscopy for purity and potency. Its ozonated oils contain no fillers, synthetic fragrances, dyes, solvents, or unnecessary additives and are packaged in amber glass to help protect them from light and contamination. No animal testing.
